FALL book fair
Mark Twain Elementary is a school that loves books! Each year we celebrate our love for reading during Book Fair week. This year’s fall fair will have an exciting selection of affordable books for every reading level.
The week will be filled with many exciting literary events to encourage readers of all ages.
Thursday morning, we will continue our beloved tradition of the Storybook Parade where students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book character. Stick around after drop off and watch students and teachers parade around the school grounds!
Parents and caregivers are invited to shop the fair with their student throughout the week.

Art Night is always a fun night at Mark Twain! Kids can visit 10 different tables to experiment with a variety of art media. Past favorites, including the clay table, fish print table and beading table return plus some new tables to spark your child’s love for art. Each child will receive stamps in their Art Passport for a chance to win a raffle prize. Plus, no need to make dinner that night as food will be available for purchase.

Bingo night is a fun event for the whole family!
We hope you’ll join us for a chance to win exciting prizes and spend a fun night with friends and family. Bingo will take place in the Twain cafeteria with dinner, snack and drink options available for purchase. All proceeds go back to the school. See you there!!

What is BASH?
The Huckleberry Bash is an auction-style fundraiser for the school. This truly amazing event is tons of fun and our largest fundraiser each year. It is for adults only. Although it’s a FUNDraiser, there is an abundance of FUN at this event. There is something for everyone…. you can bid on parties, jewelry, sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, gift baskets of any and every kind, creative artwork made by our children, teachers, and parents. There is food, music, dancing, and fun!
All of the items are either created through the efforts of our children, teachers, and parents or they are donated by parents, teachers, staff, and community businesses. There are live and silent auction items in a variety of categories:
Teacher Donations: A donation from each teacher that usually is either an item put together with help from the children or a teacher-sponsored party that parents can bid on for their children to attend.
Parties, Parties, Parties: Many families are gracious enough to host various kinds of parties (i.e., BBQ, Family Crawfish Boils, Adult Wine Tasting, Kids’ Skating, 2nd Grade Swimming, Back to School, Ice Cream Socials). At the Bash, you can buy a ticket for different parties and every penny you pay goes directly back to the school.
Big Board: Bid on large ticket items such as a weekend trips, sporting event tickets, original art, or a collection of wines.
Live Auction: Bid on big ticket items such as vacation packages, front row parking at school, and fabulous jewelry. Some folks battle it out!
How can you help with BASH?
We are looking for sports or event tickets, unique experiences, vacation homes or condos, or jewelry. All of these items would be wonderful additions to our auction. Please keep us in mind as you shop through the holidays and ask your favorite places to donate. Please click on the below links to download the donor forms or find a form in the PTO workroom.

Spirit nights are a great way to support our school and have a nice dinner or shopping event with your Twain friends. On a Spirit Night, a community business will give a percentage of sales to Mark Twain for that day or evening. Events will be posted in the Twain times and around the school. If you need to present a form to the business you will be able to find that form on this site or in the Twain Times.
