Huckleberry Bash is an adult-only event attended by 400 parents, staff members and friends. It is the largest fundraiser of the year and one that significantly helps supplement the school’s operating budget.
The theme this year is “Saved by the Bash” (think early 90’s) and all attendees are encouraged to dress up, celebrate and have a good time. Click here to see photos from past Bashes to get a glimpse of this great event.

Date & Time: Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at 6:30 pm

The event starts with cocktails & silent auction, then dinner & live auction. The night will end with dancing, bowling, and a great time with friends.
You must register with GiveSmart to purchase tickets. If purchasing a Fresh Prince Reserved ticket, please include the names of people you would like to be seated with in the notes section.
kids events
Pep Rally: Friday, January 20th at 8:30 am. This will be a kick off to CASH FOR BASH!
Senior Prank Race: Friday, February 17th beginning at 4:30 pm. This will be a scavenger hunt-type event that will take place in the neighborhood for our kiddos and will include activities, food and fun. Get Your Tickets Here!
Check in will be in front of the school and activities will be held at several homes in their driveways within blocks of the school. Food tickets are also available at above link - Pizza & Tacos!
Wine Pull
Adults will have the chance to participate in our infamous Wine Pull! The Wine Pull is an additional fundraiser for Bash and 100% of the proceeds go to Mark Twain. Wine is donated by parents over the next couple of months at a minimum value of $30. Raffle tickets are sold at $25 and each ticket is guaranteed a bottle of wine.
The Wine Pull will be at the Senior Prank Race on Friday, February 17th. At this time we are collecting wine donations. Please drop off on the front porch of 4063 Dumbarton St. If you would like to contribute monetarily towards the Wine Pull, please use the QR code below and include your name in the donation.

The Huckleberry Bash Mission
Our mission for Bash this year is to place a CleverTouch screen in every classroom. These are large interactive touch screens that will enable teachers and students to air-share information from tablet to big screen and provide an intuitive and collaborative learning experience for our students. Teachers will have access to Infinity Whiteboards, access to hundreds of teaching apps, a built-in microphone, screen mirroring where students will be able to connect their devices for learning, presentations and such, along with many other features. These apps will also support dual-language learning.
Auction Items
Silent and live auction items include anything from kid birthday party packages, summer camp certificates, gift baskets, trips, sporting tickets, dining experiences and more!
“Socials” are parties hosted by either parents or staff members. They range from an ice cream party with Mr. OBI, to a Wigs & Wine adult party or a 1st grade back to school party. Socials are popular and sell out quickly!
The auction provides opportunities to bid on items that are not available at any other time in the school year. Some favorites have been Grand Marshall of the Storybook Parade, “Principal for the Day,” a VIP parking spot in front of the school, and metal silhouettes along the school fence.
Items will be viewable at SavedbytheBash.GiveSmart.com and many will go on sale before the event. Live Auction & Big Board Items are only available for bidding in person at the event, only silent auction & socials may be bid on via mobile bidding.
Parent Support
Room parents will send out emails on how each classroom can help with donation items and/or volunteer to host a social. Beyond class donations, we are always looking for larger items for our live auction and big board items. If you have connections to large items (vacation homes, experiences, special events) please reach out!
